Maple Leaf Farms Honored with 'One Welfare' Award
February 2015

Maple Leaf Farms was recently awarded the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA) “One Welfare” recognition award during the organization’s annual meeting. Co-President Scott Tucker accepted the award on behalf of the company.

The IVMA “One Welfare” award is presented to an Indiana resident or company promoting the advancement of animal welfare issues through outstanding service, education or research. It may also be awarded for providing exemplary care to agricultural animals or significantly improving the welfare of agricultural animals.

Maple Leaf Farms was honored for its support of animal welfare research and outreach to graduate students through Purdue University’s department of animal sciences. We were also recognized for our Trident Stewardship program.

The IVMA is the professional organization for veterinarians who care for Hoosier pets, farm animals, zoo animals, wildlife and public health.
