Maple Leaf Farms to Donate Portion of Product Sales to Charity
February 2010

MIFORD, IN (February 1, 2010) –- Throughout February, Maple Leaf Farms will donate 10% of the proceeds from its public cash sales to Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County. The company’s public cash sales are held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday at the company’s Distribution Center.

“Our family-owned company appreciates the great work that Habitat for Humanity does in our community,” said Co-President John Tucker. “Contributing a portion of our cash sales throughout February is just one thing we can do to support this organization’s good works.”

The cash sales contribution program is part of a month-long campaign to raise funds to support Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County. Other activities that the company will host include an employee cook-off and silent auction, which will feature items donated by local businesses.

“As a company headquartered in Kosciusko County (Indiana), we are keenly aware of the challenges facing many families in our area,” said Co-President Scott Tucker. “We are happy to support an organization that benefits families in our community.”

Maple Leaf Farms will also donate the proceeds of its 2010 “Cans for a Cause” aluminum can recycling program to Habitat for Humanity.
