Spanish Rice

Serve spicy Spanish rice as a dish by itself or as a tasty taco filling. Simple ingredients and an easy recipe make this side perfect for lunch or dinner on a busy day.

8 slices Bacon

1 cup Onion, finely chopped

1/4 cup Bell Pepper, chopped

1 1/2 cup Water

3/4 cup White Rice

1/2 cup Picante Sauce

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Brown Sugar

1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

1 dash Pepper

1- 1 lb. can Tomatoes

1. Fry bacon till crisp and remove from pan. Pour off half of the fat.

2. Sauté onion and bell pepper in bacon fat till tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about 35 minutes.

3. Crumble bacon. Mix half of the bacon into rice. Sprinkle the rest on top.
