Shipping policy

 

General Shipping Recommendations:

Expedited shipping is strongly encouraged, especially for business addresses. Ground shipping is more prone to delays, particularly during bad weather.

 

States Requiring Express Shipping:

Due to transit times and warm weather conditions, only FedEx Express Saver or FedEx 2‑Day is allowed for:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Florida
  • Maine
  • Oregon
  • Washington

More states may be added as temperatures rise throughout the summer.

 

Address Accuracy & Ordering Requirements:

Carefully review the shipping address before placing your order. Our distribution center processes orders quickly, and no changes can be made once an order is submitted. To avoid delays:

  • Provide a complete delivery address (not PO Box) and phone number.
  • Select the correct shipping method:
    • FedEx Ground
    • FedEx Express Saver
    • FedEx 2-day

Shipping Schedule and Tracking:

·         Orders are shipped on the next available shipping day. If a carrier is not operating (weekends, holidays, or weather delays), your order will ship as soon as service resumes.

·         Orders (including shipping address) cannot be modified or canceled once submitted.

·         Tracking numbers are emailed on the day of shipment.

·         Specific delivery dates, times, or special instructions cannot be accommodated.

 

Packaging and Delivery Conditions:

·         Orders ship in insulated containers with dry ice.

·         Dry ice may evaporate during transit; product is safe to enjoy if it arrives refrigerator‑cold (38˚F or below).

·         Signatures are generally not required unless the location mandates it.

·         The delivery location is at FedEx drivers’ discretion. In some areas, FedEx may deliver to a mailbox.

·         Gift senders should notify recipients of incoming perishable items.

·         Warm‑climate customers should choose expedited shipping.

 

Delivery Expectations and Limitations:

·         While we work closely with FedEx to ensure timely delivery, neither Maple Leaf Farms nor FedEx can guarantee specific delivery dates. Weather, holidays, and other unforeseen circumstances may occasionally impact transit times.

·         Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and ensuring someone is available to receive the package when necessary.

·         Please refer to our Refund Policy for guidance regarding lost or stolen packages.
