Duck Salisbury Steak

Elevate a comfort food classic (1950's era) with the rich, refined flavor of ground duck. Our Duck Salisbury Steak features tender ground duck patties seared to perfection, then simmered in a savory mushroom-onion gravy for a delicious dish!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp. Minced Onion
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • ½ tbsp. Ketchup
  • 1 tsp. Dijon Mustard
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • ½ White Onion,Thinly Sliced
  • 3/4 cup Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1 cup Stock
  • 2 tbsp. Flour
  • Mashed Potatoes

Direction

  • Combine ground duck, breadcrumbs, egg, minced onion, garlic, ketchup, Dijon, salt, and pepper. Form into 3 oval steak patties. Chill for 10 minutes to firm.
  • In a skillet on medium-high heat, sear patties on each side for 3 minutes until browned. Remove and let rest.
  • In the same pan, add butter. Sauté onions and mushrooms until softened. Add flour and cook for 1 minute to thicken. Whisk in stock and remaining Worcestershire. Simmer until thickened 5-10 minutes.
  • Return patties to the pan and simmer for 5-10 more minutes to let the flavors combine.
  • Spoon gravy over duck patties and serve with mashed potatoes.
