Ingredients
- 12 oz. Ground Duck
- 1 Yellow Onion, Finely Chopped
- 4 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 inch Piece of Ginger, Minced
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Coriander
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 cup Mashed Potatoes
- 1/2 cup Peas
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp Oil + More for Frying
- 1 tsp Salt
- Water
Direction
- In a bowl, combine flour salt, and 1 tbsp. oil to form a breadcrumb like mixture. Gradually add water and kneed until you form a dough. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- In a pan on medium – high heat, add ground duck and chopped onions, cooking until browned.
- Add ginger and garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add mashed potatoes and peas. Cook for 3 more minutes.
- Divide the dough into balls. Roll each ball into a circle. Cut each circle in half to make two semi circles.
- Form a cone with each semi circle to create the samosa shape. Seal one side. Fill the cone with a tbsp. of duck filling. Seal the open edge.
- Fry duck samosas in a pan on medium heat in oil. Cook for about 3-5 minutes.
- Let excess oil drain off and cool for a few minutes before serving.
