Ingredients
- 4 Duck Bacon slices
- 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt (optional)
- ½ Cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 Cup low-fat buttermilk
- ½ Cup plain yogurt
Direction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Preheat a pan on medium-high heat for the duck bacon on the stove top.
- Place single layer of duck bacon in skillet. Cook 2-4 minutes per side. Remove bacon and let rest on paper towels.
- Chop duck bacon into crumbles.
- In a mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix in duck bacon and cheddar.
- Slowly mix in the plain yogurt and the buttermilk until dough forms.
- Roll dough out on a flour surface. Cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on a nonstick baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool then serve.
