Duck & Rice Bowl (Dog Friendly)

Create this tasty meal for yourself by adding in spices and sauces and letting the flavors blend together. If your furry friend has been watching you make it, leave out an unseasoned portion for them to enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 Boneless Duck Breasts
  • 1 tbsp. Duck Fat
  • ½ Cup Brown Rice
  • ¾ cup Water
  • ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup carrots, diced
  • ½ cup broccoli, chopped

Direction

  • Bring broth and water to a boil in a saucepan on the stove. Add rice then cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • 3. Cook duck breast in pan for 2-3 minutes. Add in duck fat and veggies. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  • 4. Fluff rice with a fork when done. Divide rice between bowls and top with duck and veggie mixture. Top with your favorite seasoning if you are not making it for your dog.
  • 2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully remove skin off duck breast and chop into bite size pieces.
