Ingredients
- 4 oz. Duck Fat
- 4 oz. Duck Diced Bacon (Optional)
- 8 apples
- 8 wooden skewers
- ½ cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 can condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- crushed peanuts for topping

Direction
- Wash and dry the apples. Make sure any wax coating is removed. Place a wooden skewer in each apple.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the apples on top.
- Heat a saucepan to medium heat. Melt the butter and duck fat and coat the pan.
- Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and condensed milk. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves.
- Bring mixture to a boil then reduce to medium low. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently until the duck fat caramel reaches 240 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove duck fat caramel from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Let the caramel cool for 2-3 minutes then dip the apples into the caramel. Make sure to coat each apple evenly.
- Roll the apples in mixed nuts, diced duck bacon, or your other favorite toppings.
- Place the apples on the lined baking sheet and let set for 30 minutes. Then enjoy!
