Duck Fat Sweet Potato Fries

Take your sweet potatoes to a new level with duck fat! Crispy, sweet, and savory all wrapped into one dish - this easy Duck Fat Sweet Potato Fry recipe is a great option for a healthy snack or side.

Ingredients

  • 3 Sweet Potatoes
  • ¼ Cup Corn Starch
  • Water
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Optional: Goat Cheese and Thyme for garnish

Direction

  • Peel sweet potatoes and cut into ¼ in” sticks.
  • Soak sweet potato sticks in a large bowl of ice water for 30 minutes.
  • In a large plastic bag, combine the cornstarch with 1/3 cup water. Mix well.
  • Remove the sweet potato sticks from the water and place into the cornstarch bag then turn and shake to coat.
  • In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt Duck Fat at medium-high heat and fry the sweet potatoes for 3 minutes.
  • Remove and let set on paper towel to dry and cool for 3 minutes.
  • Place in duck fat fry again for 7 min or until crispy brown.
  • Toss with salt and pepper and serve. Optional: top with goat cheese crumbles and thyme.

Alternative Cooking Method - Air Fryer:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
