Duck Sausage Stuffing

This recipe is PERFECT for the holidays! It features our ground duck & creates a mouthwatering stuffing. It takes about an hour to make.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz.Ground Duck,Defrosted
  • 8 cups of Crusty Bread,Cubed
  • 1/2 tsp. Sage,Ground
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Dried Thyme
  • 3 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Large Onion,Diced
  • 2 Stalks Celery,Thinly Sliced
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic,Minced
  • 1 Small Bunch Fresh Sage,Finely Chopped
  • 1 Small Bunch of Fresh Thyme,Chopped
  • 2¼ cups Stock
  • 2 Eggs,Whisked

Direction

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake bread cubes in oven for 15 minutes.
  • Mix ground duck with sage, salt, pepper, and dried thyme to create duck sausage.
  • Cook duck sausage on medium heat in large saucepan. Remove and set aside.
  • Melt butter in pan. Add onion and celery and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic, fresh sage, and fresh thyme. Cook for 1 minute.
  • In large mixing bowl, combine toasted bread cubes, duck sausage, vegetables, stock, and eggs.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased baking sheet. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve.
