Asian Duck Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Ground Duck
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • ¼ cup hoisin sauce
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. ginger, freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp. hot sauce
  • 4 oz. whole water chestnuts, finely diced
  • 1 small bunch green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Direction

  • Preheat oil a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground duck and onion in pan for 7 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and hot sauce. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in water chestnuts and green onions and cook for 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • To serve, place several tablespoons of the duck mixture into the center of a butter lettuce leave. Serve immediately.
