BBQ Duck

Enjoy spicy barbecue sauce with duck without turning on your grill. Simply bake on an oven rack and add sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Prepared BBQ Sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 2 Tbsp Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh Green Chilies with Seeds, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Fresh Lime Juice

Direction

  • Combine BBQ sauce, onions, garlic, chilies and lime juice in saucepan.
  • Over medium heat, bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and refrigerate, if not used soon.
  • Follow package directions for roasting duck.
  • When duck is cool, cut duck into quarters
  • Remove back and rib bones, if desired.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Place quarters on rack in a shallow pan; brush with BBQ sauce.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, basting with BBQ sauce frequently.
