Duck Pad Kra Pow

Liv is joined by her co-worker, Nye to put a duck twist on a classic Thai dish. Duck Pad Kra Pow is created using our ground duck in a wok or pan. It is then combined with spices and served over a plate of jasmine rice and crispy fried eggs.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups Jasmine Rice, Cooked
  • Oil for Frying
  • 1-2 Eggs, Fried
  • 2 Head Peeled Garlic
  • Thai Chilis – Choose your Spice Level
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar
  • 3 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Dark Soy Sauce
  • ½ tsp Fish Sauce
  • Handful Holy Basil
  • ½ Yellow Onion, Sliced

Direction

  • In a cup, combine sugar, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and fish sauce. Set aside for later.
  • In a wok/pan over medium heat, add some oil.
  • When the oil gets hot, add your minced garlic and Thai chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground duck and cook it down until lightly charred.
  • Pour in the sauce and mix well.
  • Add in your sliced onion and a handful of holy basil and stir until slightly wilted.
  • Serve over a plate of jasmine rice and crispy fried eggs.
