Duck Spaghetti & Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Cup Sweet Onion, Diced
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tsp. Olive Oil
  • ¾ Cup Panko
  • ½ Cup Grated Parmesan
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 3 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Dried Basil
  • ½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Chipotle Pepper
  • 1 Egg, Lightly Beaten
  • 2 Cups Tomato Sauce
  • 16 oz. Spaghetti Noodles, Cooked.
  • Fresh Basil

Direction

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Heat olive oil in saucepan on medium heat. Sauté onions & garlic for 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine Ground Duck cooked onions, cooked garlic, panko, ¼ cup parmesan, salt, pepper, 2 tsp. oregano, cayenne pepper, chipotle pepper, and egg.
  • Roll duck mixture into 1" meatballs and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Bake meatballs in the oven for 25 minutes.
  • Using the same pan you cooked the onions and garlic in, heat up tomato sauce with 1 tsp oregano and dried basil. Keep on a low simmer until the duck meatballs are ready.
  • Toss meatballs in sauce. Top pasta with several spoons of sauce, 4-5 duck meatballs, remaining parmesan, and fresh basil leaves.
