Duck à l’Orange Kabobs

You have probably heard of Duck a l'Orange, a classic French duck dish but now you can try it with the wonderful flavor that a grill provides! With the orange slices placed between cuts of Duck Breast, the natural juices soak into the duck as it grills giving the naturally savory flavor of duck a medley of perfectly enhanced citrus and smokey tastes!

Ingredients

  • 4 Duck Breast
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 bunch Scallions
  • 1 Cup Orange Juice
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp.. Honey
  • 6 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger, Minced
  • 8 Wooden Skewers, soaked or metal skewers

Direction

  • Dice the Duck breast into 2” chunks.
  • Mix the orange Juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Marinate the diced duck breast in this mixture for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Cut the oranges into 1” thick quarter slices. Slice the green onions into 1-2” long pieces.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Take the duck out of the marinade and save remaining marination.
  • In a sauce pan on medium high heat, bring the marination mixture to a boil, then bring down to a simmer for 5-10 minutes until a glaze forms.
  • Thread the marinated duck, orange slices, and green onions onto the skewers.
  • Grill the duck kebabs for about 8 minutes, turning frequently to make sure the skin gets nice and crispy.
  • Brush the glaze onto the duck kebabs and let cook for 2-3 more minutes
  • Serve duck l’orange kebabs with the remaining glaze on the side for dipping.
