Farmers Market Duck Burger

Inspired by farm-fresh flavors, this duck burger delivers clean ingredients with delicious flavors. A delicious alternative to beef, made for those who want farm-fresh flavors - this burger can be whipped up in about 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Panko
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
  • 2 Yellow Onions, Thinly Sliced
  • 3 tbsp. Butter, Divided
  • 3 Cheese Slices
  • 1 cup Fresh Greens
  • 1 Heirloom Tomato, Thinly Sliced
  • 6 Slices Sourdough
  • Mustard for Garnish

Direction

  • Preheat the griddle plate to medium heat.
  • Add 1 tbsp. butter to the griddle. Add onions and cook until caramelized for 10-15 minutes.
  • Mix ground duck, panko, and garlic in bowl.
  • Split into 3 balls and form patties. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
  • Sear duck patties on the griddle for 5 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Add the cheese slices to the patties with 1-2 minutes left.
  • While patties cook, Butter one side of each sourdough slice. Toast butter side down on the griddle until golden.
  • Next, assemble your sandwich. On a sourdough slice butter side down, smear mustard on the other side of the bread. Add a handful of arugula. Add the duck patty with cheese on top. Then, add caramelized onions and a slice of tomato. Then top your sandwich with the other bun.
